PSTN Connectivity

We have had reports from some customers not being able to make or receive PSTN calls. We are aware of the fault and are working with the upstream carrier to resolve.

Service has been restored for affected clients, clients affected by the outage will be emailed directly and an RFO provided.

Call Recording Servers

To support additional features we are upgrading the Call Recording servers to the latest version


This planned maintenance will affect the following services:

  •     Customer play back of calls recorded on our Skype for Business and Lync 2013 Platforms

Customers directly affected by this will be emailed.

Maintenance Window:

Maintenance Window – Sunday 16th August 21:00 – 23:00 BST

There will be no downtime as a result of this scheduled work, however customers will be unable to login to the call recording portal during this time.

The extended window will allow for the resolution of any inadvertent issues that may occur.

Updates will be posted to this maintainence notification during this planned maintenance.

While it is important for Server Centre to perform maintenance such as this to ensure the quality of our services, we do everything possible to minimise any inconvenience to our customers. We appreciate your patience and welcome any feedback.

Linux cPanel Server Upgrades

As part of Server Centre's contiued service improvment plans, all Centos 5 based Linux Web Servers will be replaced with CentOS 6. Starting on the 1st July we will be migrating accounts as follows. As new servers are built and online this notification will be updated.

Christmas and New Year Change Freeze

Dear Customers,
In recognition of reduced staffing levels across the industry over the Christmas period, Server Centre will be conducting a network and provisioning change freeze from Sunday 21st December through to Sunday 4th January 2015. Throughout this period, no non-essential changes will be made to the network or the services we provide.
Please ensure any change requests are made before Wednesday 17th December to ensure they can be completed on time. Some exceptions will be permitted where prior agreement has been made (between the customer, the account manager and technical teams prior to 19th December).
Server Centre will, of course, be available 24/7 over the Christmas period for any emergencies or outages on the core network and core services. Support will also be available to those customers with the appropriate support contract.

Security Update - Cisco and Juniper "ShellShock" and Bash

Cisco and Juniper have both recently posted alerts/bulletins relating to the Bash vulnerability also known as “ShellShock”.

In summary network devices (routers & switches) running JUNOS and Cisco IOS are not affected.

Network Services 'At Risk' 19/09/14 22:00 BST to Saturday 20/09/14 06:00 BST

One of our circuit providers will be performing essential maintenance work on our 10Gbps MPLS link between our Manchester and London PoPs.


The PoPs have resilient MPLS circuits therefore traffic will re-route around the circuit during the maintenance. However resiliency will we lost during this period.

Maintenance Window

Friday 19/09/14 22:00 BST to Saturday 20/09/14 06:00 BST for up to 30 minutes
Customers should not experience down time, however network services will be at risk during the maintainence window.
