Update 18/12/10: This planned maintenance has now been postponed due to cable works in Telehouse North not yet being completed. This maintenance will not take place Friday 7th January between 00.00 and 02.00.

Background:
Engineers will be commissioning a new Point of Presence (POP) at Telehouse North (THN) in London from Thursday 16^th December at 00:00. This work is expected to take up to 2 hours. This new POP will become our primary inter-connect location at THN, and will enable us to deliver; additional transit capacity, additional customer interconnects options and services.

Impact:
This maintenance will affect the following services:

· Internet Transit -  Some minor disruption maybe experienced when we administratively disable transit providers at THN. Internet transit will still be available through our POP’s in Global Switch (London) and Telecity (Manchester), although this service will be deemed “at risk” until the maintenance has been completed.

· Private Interconnects at THN – Customers with private interconnect to our existing POPs at THN (TFM7 & TFM10) will experience a disruption to services during the maintenance work. These customers will be notified directly by end of business on Friday 3^rd December.

· MPLS Network – Services utilising our core MPLS network will not be affected by this maintenance, however some resiliency will be lost during the work therefore services will be deemed “at risk” until the maintenance has been complete.
